New Liver and Kidney Transplant Surgeries Performed at MMA

Belgrade, June 4, 2010. – During the late night hours, new cadaver liver and kidney transplant surgeries were performed at the Military Medical Academy. It is the tenth liver and 292nd kidney transplantation done in our institution. Liver transplant was performed on a 60-year-old female patient D.V., and a kidney transplant on a 59-year-old male patient H.J.
Both patients are making a good postoperative recovery. Our transplant team has done its best to perform those two surgeries. The MMA’s Management expresses its great satisfaction and provides full support to further implementation of the transplant program.
